Recorded Periodicals
Two Decades of Service
We appreciate your interest in ASB's Recorded Periodicals service and hope you
consider subscribing to one or more of our magazines. The four-track cassettes will only play on playback equipment
modified to play Library of Congress materials. The four-track
cassettes will not play on commercial equipment.
 How You Can Help ...
Recorded Periodicals has been in the business of providing
recorded materials for people who are blind and visually handicapped for
over 20 years. The subscription price does not cover all of the
costs incurred. Recorded Periodicals must raise its own
operating funds. Please consider making a tax deductible contribution to Recorded
Periodicals.
NOTICE: Recorded Periodicals has permission from the publishers to produce magazines on tape for people who are blind and physically handicapped. Duplication of the magazines is not permitted without the written permission of the publisher.
Ordering Information
To enter or renew your subscription with Recorded Periodicals, a
personal check, money order, or credit card (Mastercard, Visa or American Express)
may be used. Please indicate the magazine subscriptions you
would like to receive, include your complete mailing address and
both home and work telephone numbers. Complete the order form.
Credit Card Orders
To order or renew your subscription by
credit card, include the name of the credit card; your name as
it appears on the card; the account number; and the expiration
date.
Overseas Subscribers
American Dollars only will be accepted.
The magazine subscription can be sent via "Air Mail" for an
additional postage and handling charge of $4.00 PER ISSUE.
Gift Subscriptions
When requesting a gift subscription, send a
letter, indicating the name of the magazines ordered and the
full name and address of the person to whom the gift will be
sent and the payment. Upon receipt, a gift card will be sent and
you will receive a receipt for payment.
Damaged Magazines
Recorded Periodicals will make available one
replacement copy of magazines damaged in the mails. Return the
damaged tape and a replacement copy will be sent by return mail.
Back Issues
Recorded Periodicals will provide back issues of
magazines for donation of $6.00 an issue.
Playback Equipment
The audio cassette recordings are formatted to be listened to on equipment
modified to play Library of Congress materials. The four-track
cassettes will not play on commercial equipment. These players are available on a free loan basis from the library in your state that serves visually impaired or physically handicapped readers. To find a library near you, click here.
Postage Considerations
All cassette magazine subscriptions are mailed via the U.S.
Postal Service under the "FREE MATTER FOR THE BLIND" mailing
privilege.
Overseas subscribers have the option of including an extra
$4.00 PER ISSUE to the subscription donation of the magazines
to be sent by Air Mail delivery.
