Bequest
Deferred charitable giving is a common way of supporting Associated Services for the Blind's (ASB).  A bequest, a gift through one's will, is the most popular method.  Regardless if it is cash, securities, real property or personal property, the benefits are great for both the donor and supporting ASB's mission.

Bequests can be designated towards general purposes for the agency, or it can be set up to support a specific program within ASB.  See our Agency Services for more information regarding each of our programs.

Below are brief descriptions of some types of bequests:

Unrestricted Bequests
To make it possible for ASB to provide the highest quality services to our clients, unrestricted funding is used by ASB for our greatest current need within the agency.

Special Bequests
Special bequests are designed to support a specific program or project at ASB.

Endowment Bequests
Endowment bequests are established to provide a permanent fund for ASB's general needs or a specific program (e.g., Braille, Recorded Periodicals, etc.).

Residual Bequests
By selecting a residual bequest, you can name ASB as your total or partial beneficiary of your estate.

For additional information, contact our Development Department.
