	Welcome President's Biography History & Mission Facilities Services Community Partnerships Staff Helpful Hints ASB Brochures		Community Partnerships Because persons who are blind or visually impaired often face other social, physical, or economic challenges, Associated Services for the Blind & Visually Impaired has entered into community partnerships with many local organizations. Working together, ASB and these community partners help ensure that persons with these disabilities enter an integrated network of complementary services. ASB facilitates referrals to these organizations, confers with professionals on individual clients, and gains feedback on these partnerships. This, in turn, helps ensure that there are no gaps in human services for ASB's clients, and also helps minimize duplication of services. Associated Services for the Blind & Visually Impaired's community partners include: The Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, which provides special community-based services for older residents who are blind or visually impaired; National Caucus and Center on Black Aged, which, through its Seniors in Community Training Program, provides senior trainees to host agencies; Pennsylvania College of Optometry, which provides eye exams, corrective vision equipment, and low vision training; Pennsylvania Bureau of Blindness and Visual Services, which offers specialized services and rehabilitative programs to help blind or visually impaired persons work and maintain independent lives; Wills Eye Hospital, one of the nation's most advanced and expert centers in vision-related medical care; Moss Rehab Hospital, a center for comprehensive rehabilitation services for persons who have a range of disabilities, including blindness and visual impairments;
